Still under development, and with a couple of horsepower still to find, this engine was used for racing at Mallory Park earlier this year where it went ok, managing mid field results. It pulls from 2,000 rpm to 8,000 rpm with no flat spots in top gear, but at 33 bhp, is 4 bhp short of the best from the other, more conventional 350 race engine. The exhaust has been modified to tuck in more beneath the gearbox since this pic was taken, where it leaves quite a gap, demonstrating how much shorter this engine actually is [about 1 1/4"]. Immagine the ground clearence this unit in a modified Crusader type frame would give for an off road style machine !
