hi
been after a set of these grips for my c5 and vibration issues. in australia i've tried several stores with no luck. seem to be a pretty common item over your way.
would any member care to buy and post me a pair and i will send you the full amount for purchase and postage by pay pal.
my feedback is 100% positive so there is no risk - money wise.
an offer would be greatly appreciated and maybe i could return the favor if you ever require something this way
regards graham

These are my favorite grips too :-)

Can you not get a place like this to ship to Oz?

If they won't ship to you PM me your address and we'll work something out.

Sweet!  I think you'll like 'em.  I get a new pair every season just so they're extra sticky.

Older thread, but I have what may be a dumb question based on a post from the "What did you do to your Royal Enfield today?" thread:

An easy way to get any grips off is to just slide a screwdriver in from the end under the grip and spray in some water.  Then just twist it around and off.  I usually spray the insides of new grips with brake or carb cleaner to lubricate them and just slide them on.  I usually put them in the freezer overnight and then use a razor blade to carve out a little of the throttle side grip and fit them nicely snug against the little ramp on the plastic throttle.  You'll see what I mean when you take the grip off.  I let them set overnight and then safety wire them so they never slide around.

Scott

Scott, my 713 grips just arrived, and their ends aren't open.  Do I cut the ends out to fit over the bar?  Or do I just poke a hole big enough for the bar-end bolt to fit through?  I haven't taken the old ones off yet, and I imagine that it will all be revealed when I do, but I thought I'd ask...

And, how/where do you wire them?

Sorry, totally forgot that part.  Just use a super sharp razor and carefully cut out the end.  The wire goes in the two little grooves at eac end.

Scotty, these are no longer available per the link. Might you know of another place that might sell them?

Bulletman-  I don't know if it's any help, but here's where I got mine:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0074Y3R5K/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00

Very fast shipping to me here in the US; don't know about foreign shipping or currencies...

I also just put these on my bike after Scotty's recommendation, and they are great. Mine came with the holes already in the ends. I chose to remove all of the tabs, or keys, from the throttle sleeve before installing them. Couldn't be happier, and they're a bargin too boot.

I'd just do a search under Google shopping until you find someone selling them that ships to where you are.

Huh.  I wonder why I thought otherwise?  Maybe it was Scotty's mentioned of shipping to Oz...  Anyway, glad you found them!
