Does it make any sense to use a Tubeless Tyre with a Tube? My mechanic has fitted a tubeless Pirelli Rear Tyre (Made in Brazil) for my RE 350 Std.1995 which has spokes. He says it won't puncture easily... ??

I think its just how the bead interacts with the sidewall.  The 21" front on my HD had a tubeless tire with a tube since it was spoked.  No big deal.

You have to make sure all the spokes are sealed, otherwise the air will fall out!
It's perfectly OK to put a tube in a tubeless tire, though.

For a wheel to be safe without tubes it has to be designed and made that way from the start. For a variety of reasons spoked wheels are not.

Putting a tubeless tire with tube on a spoked wheel is perfectly fine and an industry accepted practice.
No matter where you go, there, you are.
