If it is what I think it is and it was operating there would be good (+) buttons and bad (-) buttons so we could rate each other.

Based on a post in the real topic that discusses the new forum (down below in the Forum Improvements section) Kevin (being Grand Poo Bah)  has such a button and added a + to a members ratings.

I can see where this sort of thing could really get out of hand and end up upsetting a lot of people.

We would have those who thought they deserved a big + for something they said and if they didn't get some they would be upset.
I can also see folks getting a (-) from others and getting upset.

The Indian TBHP forum uses something similar called "thanks" but those are all positive ratings so most of the members don't seem to get upset by them.
In fact, I don't think most of their members even look at them.
