...the green was girly without trying to be tough :)

I have a teal one but I'm a guy :(  Maybe I should have gone red so at least my lesbian friends would respect me.

If you find a nail polish that matches let me know.  I'm sure it's cheaper than the official touch up paint ;)

Kelli ,
I have the G5 in green . Have been very pleased with it. If you are in coastal southern Cal you will have fun with it on Highway 1 and US101. And your grins when you fill up for $12 will make it even better. Enjoy.

Speaking of fuel costs, did anyone tell Kelli that these Royal Enfields get around 75 miles per gallon and they burn regular grade fuel with no problem at all? ;D

something about the g5 won me over the c5... plus the $1000 savings gives me some extra cash to get a lower custom brown seat and hopefully drop the springs.

i also don't mind kick starting it for a slightly more bad-ass exit than the harley men.... i can make it look tougher than it is :)

any mods you suggested?  any information about lowering it?  the dealer had a lot of stuff with the c5, but something about the g5 called me more than the nice teal color of the c5.  i can't seem to find lower springs on nfield, maybe just a custom seat in a nice tanned brown leather?

Congrats on your Bullet Snowkid !   :D  8)

I don't know if the lowering kit for the C5 will work or not but a solo saddle will drop the seat height about an inch and solo saddle lower springs should drop that about an inch more.

A low restriction intake and exhaust will free up a few more horsepower  ;)

A good 7" headlight is worth its weight in gold and also improves the looks of every Bullet.

The stock tires are o.k. but there are better to be had that further improve handling. ;D

Nail polish to match the bike.  Harley guys may not notice that custom detail but the Harley women surely will not  ;)

Riding gear is a personal matter. I say flush fashion and go for function.  Many Bullet owners like the gear to somewhat reflect the style ques of the bike

This other guy who was real smart once said "form follows function" and as a happy result a lot of gear does both function and match the bike style wise.

Here is link to just one of many good boot makers.

Congratulations Kelli on your new G5 - way to go.  Welcome to RE Forum.

Perhaps you are the same size as this girl on her RE - don't think both feet can reach ground simultaneously.

Yes, congrats on the G5 Kelli!  Cute picture, btw.   :D

I would advise not changing the exhaust pipe until after you have spent time riding and getting used to it and have broken it in.

After a few rides you would be wise to check as many fastenings as possible.  Some do loosen up when the bike is new.

Oh, and good riding gear is vital, but you knew that already.

Ice,
I've seen those boots. In print somewhere, thanks for the link.  I may have a pair of those in my future.

Way to go Kelli!

Looks like it is in British Green.  Just the color I wanted when I bought mine (but the chrome/black Deluxe was more available so I went with it).

If you call N Field Gear and talk to Tim, tell him just what your looking for.
He will know exactly what they have that can help you with the seat height.
Their phone number should be

The lowest seat will be an un-sprung trials style seat (see pic I posted in the other thread) but they can be a bit hard on the butt on rough roads.

thanks for all the info... i rode it around for a good 20 miles yesterday and woooooh was it fun!!  im not looking into making any mods besides lowering it for awhile.

im debating between putting a single seat on, or keeping the bench, but getting it custom with a little less thickness and in brown.  ill give nfield gear a call later this week.

as far as riding gear- for now i just have some heavy jeans, boots, gloves, and half shell helmet until my whole helmet arrives in the mail.  having an xs head is a bummer when you mentally limit yourself to a black only helmet :)

what do you guys do to maintain yours?  mine is parked outside so i need to go pick up a cover- last night it rained a little and i already got a little rust on my chrome- so chrome protector and a few rags and some spray wash?

woo hoo!  too bad today-wednesday are 16 hour work days, no time to ride :(
