2004 Bullet 535, ES, 5 speed, RH shift......
I'm in trouble trying to get my rear wheel back on the Bullet. Here's my right side... axle, adjuster snail, swing arm, axle spacer, collar. Next is the right side bearing.

On the left side is the (unseen) bearing, washer/spacer, (seen) hub/cylinder with outer threads.
It looks lined up, but I can't move the axle in any farther.
In the metal tray is a big washer/spacer, adjuster snail, big nut, little nut. I believe I have the idea where the snail and two big nuts go together, but where does the big spacer go?
After I had the rear wheel off for a tire installation I had a small spacer left over. I believe I left it out after assembling the rear with the new tire. I put that short spacer between the left bearing and the hub. Now, I can't pass the axle through and I don't know where to put the big round spacer. Should I not have a small spacer between the bearing and the the threaded cylinder?

I'm totally stumped here. My digital manual is not helpful. The online manual at fixmybull.com doesn't help me. I would really appreciate some clarity and advice here.

I think the reason the shaft won't go thru is that the hole on
the brake plate side is not aligned. Try moving the wheel to
change the alignment.

Thanks, Mike, I'll check the alignment.
In the photo, ''hardware 66"', does anyone recognize the space on the right and where it goes?

I took a look at this and I'm afraid I can't be helpful without taking my bike apart. The spacer I had "left over" was a different one than you're showing here.

I no longer have my Bullet to go out and check but I
think that is #24 on the left side. If the hole diameter is correct
then that is my guess...   collar on 1st then adjuster....

ok, I've thot about it and to put the spacer on 1st may keep
the adjuster from engaging the nub on the frame....
better leave this to some who can go out to the shed
and have a "look-see".

Print the picture out from Baird take it apart to see what goes where. Put it back together. Sometimes the long round spacer is hard to push in place. But if you follow the picture the assembly will be correct.  There shouldn't be any pieces left over.  ERC

#24 straightened me out. It fell together after that. Thanks Bulleteers! I'm going to the Nats game tomorrow. Friday should be a time to ride! Again, thanks for the rescue.

Same thing happen to me when I was replacing my chain..That flat spacer fell to the ground and I also had that small metal dust collar fall out from the right side that took me awhile to figure out..My parts manual came in handy that day...I think I'll take a digital pic next time just in case as my eyes aren't what they use to be ..Go Nats..
