rode in 40 mph cross winds yesterday, any tips on that

Yeah, hang on. It'll get you through OK. If you're not wearing a full face helmet, get a scarf. The blowing sand and other bits can smart!
I learned to ride in the wind in the early '60s in Wyoming. the lessons there have served me well!
Check the "EPIC ride" in trip report category.

TooSeeVee, how did we end up in such opposite corners of the country?

Hi Paul
Glad to hear you got your Enfield you'll have good times this summer I'm sure and as for the windy rides well there not fun on any bike and as Bare already revealed you gain lots of training in wind riding here in Wyoming but Montana has it's share also as I'm sure your aware.  Hope we cross paths one day.  bittercrick

hi paul, congrats. like you, the g5 is my first bike (just bought it in chrome in december) and i've loved it so far, despite some minor electrical problems. i'm also on the younger end of the RE owner age scale (32). happy riding, and welcome to the club.
