Hey All-
I really need a more comfortable seat. I have a G5 and my since im 6 2" my comfort are is right on the "step" in the stock enfield seat. I know corbin is working on an aftermarket and i gotta say, have never really liked their "style" though quality is great! Any direction would be greatly appreciated! Cheers. Wish I was smaller! >:(

Hello Saint45,
I also have a G5 Deluxe and switched to the solo springer seat made by Le Pera. I think it's comfortable as hell.....I can ride all day. Having two springs in addition to shock absorbers really provides a smooth ride. You just have to find the right seat to fit YOU. There are several makes available, and they are easy to install.

I have the old fashioned lycett style seat from nfield gear and find it extremely comfortable.  It's not for everyone to be sure but for me it's he most comfortable seat I've ever owned due to the pain caused by foam seats to my once broken tailbone.  I'm 6' 3" btw.

These are nice solo seats and set you back a bit more:

http://nfieldgear.com/enfield-store/aftermarket-parts-accessories/seats/sedona-red-leather-solo-seat.html

This is similar to the stock seat but looks a bit sharper and I don't think the bump is so pronounced:

I believe the solo seats will mate right up, the English dual may take a little work.

I also believe that Corbin is working on a G5 seat right now.  I've found that Corbin always seems to sit you a little bit farther back than the stock seat.

The flat 60's style bench dual seats are sometimes called "Bates" seats by some resellers.  I have seen a photo of a flat dual "Bates Style" seat with white cording on a G5 and it looks quite good.

I think the dual Bates seats were similar to the one pictured on this Interceptor ...

Another alternative is investigate getting the existing one re-padded.

+1 on the Old-Fashioned seat. It's wonderfully comfortable and slightly taller. I'm only 5'11", but I even noticed my knees feeling more relaxed after installing. One warning, the mounting bracket is a PITA to get attached.
