Finally got parts in to fix trans , dealer installed parts ,the gear lever shaft assy was cracked from one  end to the other ,never seen that type of failure before. Got my Bullet back before thanksgiving , put over 75 miles on it Friday everybody was at the malls & shopping centers . It was 64 & sunny , I had the country roads all to myself. Looking fwd to the next 55 degree day.

What was the original problem/symptoms with the gearbox. I'm having problems with mine at the moment, it's been suggested that it's a clutch cable/chain adjustment problem, I'm not convinced.

Cheers  :)

The original problem was that the foot shift lever would slide out in fifth gear & when you touched it to shift into neutral the lever would fall straight down. the trans would stay in fifth gear. the horizontal shaft lever was becoming dislodged from the fork on vertical shaft . the vertical shaft was cracked down the weld the complete length of shaft. that was the problem in a nut shell hope it's helpful.
