Im restoring a 61 Indian and have gotten to the forks. The inner tubes need clean up..badly..but after clamping the outer fork body in a padded vise in a couple pieces of pine (so they arent scratched up)..trying to turn off the caps..aint happening. Right or left hand thread?  I recall something about the seals. Older ones had 1 seal, newer ones had 2 seals? Are these o rings of some sort and how do I install the 2 seal units? New caps? Or? Hep me! Hep me! <G>

I had to make a "wrench" out of a bit of steel to fit the cap flats..but dont want to bugger or ding anything by turning it the wrong way too many times. Threads dont hold up well when one does that sort of thing....

Thanks guys!
