Being that it is nearly Halloween... ::)  This one may seem a little tame  now...but it still has a certain creepiness to it.

Un Chien Andalou.  Its a short movie by Salvador Dali, just plain odd and creepy. Like Eraserhead.

I think "The Grudge"  Or  "Ju-on" , The Japanese version, is probably the scariest thing to come out lately. The Japanese are great at capturing that scary, without gory  thing........

Yeah, don't think that Surrealism falls quite into the "horror" genre.  Was certainly one of the first shock-films, though.  And it did inspire a hell of a good Pixies song.

I live in southern Ontario in a small town called Chatham. Every fall at harvest time for soya crops the town is inundated with crows. There is an estimated 300,000+ crows that winter here.  After the soya and corn is off the fields, they gather near the ethanol plant area and get ground corn from the spillage and cob piles. After that they attack one's garbage on garbage day. Smart birds definately as they head to the different sections of town as they have garbage day. Not uncommon to see several thousand all standing around in parking lots... Just hanging out. Alfred would have been proud.

There was a pommie movie, years ago called Village of the damned or children of the damned, saw it when I was just a kid, still puts a tingle down the spine.

Cheers  :o

You guys are missing the classics. Try Abbot and Costello in Hold That Ghost, or Abbot and Costello Meet the Wolf Man or Laurel and Hardy in March of the Wooden Soldiers. You need to learn to appreciate fine art.

Classic- That word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

Last week I had to take my daughter to  play. It was required viewing for her class. Before the show several of her class mates were talking about the 'Great Actors'. Brad Pitt was mentioned, and a slew of actors I had never heard of. In an aside to my daughter I loudly whispered, "should I bring up Abbot and Costello?" A sea of blank faces turned to me and one asked "Who are they?"
