Too bad we can't use a domed (hemi) piston like I have on my Triumph.

9.5 :1 compression stock

11:1 compression available

What's the compression ration on the flat top pistons you are talking about?

It's classified .......

I understand.

Compression ratios that high might very well  bring down unwanted governmental scrutiny.
Nobody wants that.

Have fun with that Scotty! You, Scooter Bob, are my new hero!
And I tell ya, once that 2 year warranty runs out, I'll have to look into some of this hot-rod EFI Bullet stuff - love it!

Atta boy, Scotty! I'm "working on" something as well with some ridiculously tastee Dominican Rhum ....... Hahaha!! Seriously, though - as handy as YOU are, you ought to be able to do the swap in about two or thee hours at the onset ...... It's a cheap, easy BIG bang for the buck swap .......

Thanks for the kudo .... I'd go ahead and slip it in .... no dealer has ever seen the inside of one - and the ones that HAVE, "get it" - plus - it's a "factory approved part" so the warranty shouldn't be any more zoided than all the OTHER crap that gets done to them ...... She'll perk RIGHT up with that and the Z90373 muffler ..... (if memory serves on the P/N)

Yeah - It' looks just like the pistons in a 2.0 VW engine - you could eat Campbell's soup outta the top of 'em .... The boys at Porsche eliminated the "deesh" and gained about 40HP and a point and half of compression .... it's like that with the UCE ..... Oh wait - it's not .... The experts say that won't work .... I keep forgetting ......  ;)

Yup - That'd be one, all right. That one, however, has the special Carbon Combustionator Package on the dome ..... it raises the compression a half point all by itself! Hahaha! Someone needs to run the dog sh!t outta that one. The top of the piston will be nearly spotless with the proper abuse ....  ;) Ask me how I know this ......  ;D

OK, so the flat top AVL piston will fit in the UCE?  Since it sounds like you have done this little modification, what differences in performance did you notice?  Did you have to adjust timing or play with the computer's set up?

Chunk it in ..... ride faster ..... it's THAT easy ....... That's probably why the 'experts' wouldn't swallow it .... it didn't come with an engineers approval after a $12K study and feature a total retooling and a wholesale cost of $350 .... Hahaha!  ::) ;D ;D ;)
