I am heading down to Road Atlanta this week to race the old Enfield on Thursday. If anyone is local and wants to watch some good racing, stop on out to the track. All of WERA's vintage is being ran on Thursday, but they are racing there all weekend. If you stop out, ask at the main gate where the Vintage pits are and I should be able to be found.

You can throw a leg over the old bike and get your picture taken on her!

Well, I won the 500GP class, but DNF'd in the 350GP race. All in all it was a fun weekend.

Hey, nice Westie!!!  Way to get that 500 checker!

So hey... is "OTH" what they call an Enfield?  A hundred year old bike brand listed as "other"?

Way to go westie! :)

I really think an association that puts on "vintage races" would have the decency to give the brand of motorcycle that won.  Giving a Royal Enfield and its rider the respect they deserve for beating a bunch of  "modern technology" Japanese bikes wouldn't have caused them to use much more ink and I would think much higher of them if they would have done that.

I couldn't find where you saw "other" but I've been wondering why they only list the rider's names and don't included what they were riding.  I noticed the same thing at the Vintage festival in Barber.  Sure would make the results more interesting to the spectator.

The winners name and the size and make of the motorcycle are all given.

Starting with the winner but showing the motorcycle information only:

1.  OTH 500) 8 laps     (This is the Royal Enfield)
2. (Hon CB350),
3.  (Hon 325),
4.  (Hon 350),
5.  (Hon 500),
6.  (Hon 350),
7.  (Yam 250),

Take another look and I'm sure you will see what I'm talking about.

Congratulations on winning with that OTH motorcycle. Where was that made? Ya oughta call the dingbat writer for RRW and see if you can teach them to spell ROYAL ENFIELD!
I guess if you don't have a honsuzyamkaw, it's unrecognizable by the rest of the world!

I did talk to the guy from RRW after the awards and he was asking about the bike and had me show it to him. The results on the website are from the official scoring and not RRW's. For some reason Royal Enfield is too hard to input into their computer. Although, OTH is better then the last time, it was listed as WTF...  :o  I will try and find that picture tomorrow
