I bought this bike Tuesday, September 27 2011, got it on the trailer at the dealer and it started raining. When I got home I just made it in the garage when it started pouring. I didn't get to ride it for the following 3 days because of weather.

Saturday I finally got a chance to take it out and had a great ride... straight to my warehouse to start taking stuff off of it.

So far i've chopped the rear fender, put on LED rear turn signals (temporary, until I get my miniature bullet signals), removed the front fender, bar end mirrors, and most recently built a canister air filter and got it on yesterday.

Here's a video of some riding in October.

Added pictures from last fall

Also just added a picture of the new exhaust

New Pictures of the seat toward the bottom

PICTURES! HERE WE GO

rear fender chop, front fender off, tool box off, bar end mirrors

side mounted lisence plate

tiny turn signals. can you see them?

There they are

Canister Air Filter

here's all the stuff i bought at the hardware store

mock up

I had to build a bracket because the PVC end cap i bought offset the connection too much.

I cut a circle out of a piece of sheet aluminum and mounted it wover the hole where the intake was.

I also ordered a bobber seat and a short megaphone pipe to shorten up the bike even more.

As it is right now (1/26/2012)

New Megaphone Exhaust 2/11/12

I just bought some chrome mini bullet turn signals from ebay.
I was going to get the Emgo Shorty pipe, but seconds before buying one on ebay I changed my mind and got the megaphone one instead.
this one.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I got mine a year ago: chop th rear fender and remove the front and you're 90% of the way to a classic bobber.  I'd love a close up of the canister you built when you get a chance.

Well done!

Didn't mean to rush you, just curious to see what you've got.

Dude!  Awesome use of plumbing parts to create the air claener!  It look like you got everything except the filter and top cap at the hardware store.  Nice!

Looking great! I thought about painting my canister too, but I really like the stainless!

Keep the pics coming. How does the bike run with the filter on there? Any hesitation or skipping?

No change in how it runs, no backfiring, no anything. the exhaust is noticeably louder and lower pitch. Which is amazing. Too bad I won't be able to get the same sound with a short pipe, but we will see.
