Shocking! How can you make such jokes, Desi! What could fit better to a Royal Enfield than a Royal dog?  ;)

Bittercrick:

Looks great !

Are you using TUBELESS tyres on stock OEM rims ?  Which tyres are these ?  Are C5 tubeless ?

My G5 has tires with tubes !

1st off thank you all for the kudos on my bike.
2nd Singh the tires are what came on the bike and are mounted with tubes in them I've used tubeless tires with tubes in them for years on other bikes with no ill effects.  bittercrick

@Singh
These are the AVON AM26 that can be used tubeless. Of course you can put a tube into them, in this case you should look after the valve occasionally because in some rare cases the tube may slide and the rim may put pressure on the valve.
These come in 19´aswell and I´m currently running them on my G5, however I´m quite dissapointed about their qualities. I especially resent  their lacking ability to stabilize running straight above 100 km/h - surprisingly the stock rubbers are better at that.

I don't mean to sidetrack the topic, but I still wonder why your bike hasn't been stable since mounting the AM26 Roadriders.  Here's a bike that recently did a run at over 115 mph during speed week at Bonneville:

I feel that the tires themselves must not be the problem.

I never did think it was a tire problem.I still feel it's a design problem. If i take one hand off the bars at Hi Way speeds it instantly starts to wobble or hit a bump same thing it just shouldn't be that damn unstable . other than that it's fun to ride. bittercrick

Would be very interesting to try the stock G5 AVONs on a C5, but they don't come in 18'. However, I had the opportunity to make a direct comparison, so I dare say that creating directional stability is not among the virtues of the AM26. It has other strong points, though. Beeing inclined the roadholding is perfectly neutral now, and adhesion overall is remarkably well.
But if I'd have a C5 I'd immediatelly change to the BT45  ;)

I wouldn't put stock G5 Avons on anything. I think they are terrible tires. Anyone want a slightly used set? 2500 miles. I'll give 'em to ya.

Bitter,

How much louder is it with the EFI exhaust as compared to the stock exhaust.

For me, it could be a few notches louder on the DB scale.  That's what I'm used to anyway.  Pesky federal guidelines.

I debated whether or not to have the exhaust changed when I bought mine, but opted for the stock package.  Did you have to retune the fuel injection after the swap?

Also, did you paint in the RE and EFI 500 with the touch up paint in your kit, or did yours come that way.

I've been tinkering with the idea of painting the insets.  Now I see how they look.

Pretty tempting I must say, but my hand is not as steady as it used to be.
