Installed a shortened rear light bar for my rear turn signals.  Shortens it up about 5 inches and brings the turn signals in closer to fender instead of behind the bags.  Also installed LED turn signal conversions the other day.  Only have the taillight and instrument lights left to convert and everything will be LED.

Turned a pair of threaded handle bar inserts on the lathe. Someone should sell these things for us bar end mirror folks.

Sold the VS 800 to a worthy gentleman who has plans for a formidable street sled --He is a happy camper as well as I.  No more aggregation and I can go back to enjoying my Enfield.  I want to thank you guys for the input on the Suzi as it saved me both pain and money.

No problem Scotty!  That's one of the best parts of forums, extensive knowledge from all abroad.

Today I downloaded a new map for the PC V to correct atrocious backfiring.  It was so bad the other a woman on the sidewalk jumped and hugged her kids, I felt awful.  So I downloaded a new map to correct what I thought was a very rich condition.  After being lots more happy with the new map, I pulled the plugs and discovered a dangerously LEAN condition.  So while Happy with the new map, I'm bringing the Power Commander laptop home with me this weekend and work on tweaking the better map.  I checked the new plugs after a hard ride and still a tad lean, and looks to need a degree or 2 removed from timing.  So Monday will be a day of plug chops until I'm happy.  It will be my first time doing fuel injection tuning completely on my own.  But I'm confident I can nail it.

Did my first oil/filter change on my 1994 BMW K75. 15w50 Shell Advance, full synthetic. Today I might do the trans oil and the rear drive.

Hope that you had the proper filter wrench without which can be a real pain.

Got one to fit at the auto parts store. A strap wrench would not be usable up in that space.

Got the Road King plated today, only $55 and a 25 minute wait.  Not too horrible for a trip to the DMV.

I want a plastic maggot! Oh the austerity of not having one. We went from stupid humid to rain world here. I’m wishing I could ride something.

Last night I installed my hell shifter and new shift lever feet to match my highway pegs.  Also went to retorque my handlebars and one of the bolts spun.   >:(  So, picked up a helicoil last night but it was late.  So this morning I installed the helicoil and upon reassembly discovered the handle bars were tearing in the center where the opening for the internal wires come out.  Couldn't afford anything fancy as I just ordered, and tomorrow will be installing, a S&S High performance oil pump and cam plate kit.  (Let's just say I really hope my wife doesn't find out how much I actually spent.)  So, I just ended up ordering some basic Burly 14" Narrow Apes.  Should have those Wednesday.  Once those are installed I should be able to take some long rides without puking oil everywhere.  Good times!

Got the maggot cafe racer back on it's wheels.  Front end needed a bit of faffing about with the stem: lengthened the stem and welded and machined bearing journals to take stock Honda bearings. Fits well now.  On the upside,  the steering stops and lock brackets are in the right place with no mods needed  8)

Looking great so far! Nice little stand you have, too! Looks adaptable to several different frames.
This morning ordered up a couple of large trunk bags for the hack. One for the Bonnie, and one for the Cozy. Plenty of room for the long trips, and has expandable zippered sides so the tent will fit nicely! And will go well with the Saddlemen bags I already have.  ;D

That's a nice bag. Wish I needed a couple of those, but don't go nowhere no mo'. Just too painful and I'd never get out of Rhode Island  :) :) and it's barely 50 miles long  ;) It's F-ing HOT here and I'm F-ing useless.
