Ahh!  The old "newspaper stuck in the jacket" ploy eh?

The biggest problem with that is after removing the newspaper the jacket usually still looks puffed up.  Couldn't be the stuff under the shirt could it?  :-[
I once used the newspaper stuck into my pantslegs to try to keep the below freezing wind from freezing me.  That didn't work either.  ;D

Soitainly Not!
Did go to Malibu yesterday with the BSA and ran some of the great roads over there. Went to a restaurant, Rustic Canyon Grocery and Grill on Sierra Creek and Kanan-Dume. I hadn't been there, it is a couple of miles from the Rock Store. They have a great pulled pork sandwich!
There was a '49 600cc Panther Thumper there. I followed him for awhile as the beast smoked its way done the road. I had to get by as I was getting fumigated. Later it quit with no compression. The way it as smoking I suspect he holed his piston and he ended up on the sweep trailer.
The Enfield belongs to a guy that leads the way on his Enfield quite well. He's tough to keep up with. Rides it well at 78 years old!
And then maybe one percent of the mob at the Rock Store. The place was packed. Didn't see any Enfields there, or other Guzzis for that matter.

Bare, do you know the owner of that Kawa 300 and do you know how they have been liking it?  From what I've read it's as spirited as the carb'd 250's.

Nice, well used B5!  I see he's modified his side stand for less tilt, but he's also lost his swing arm pivot cover!  I wonder what his luggage-carrying arrangement is like?

The swing arm pivot cover had fallen off right there. He put it in his pocket.
I talked to the guy with the Kwacker. He liked it real well! By all I've read they will definitely blow the doors off the 250s, as well they should. I looked at them before I bought the Guzzi, but I just couldn't see myself on a modern bike. Just not what I was looking for. If I wanted that I could've bought a Triumph 675 which will clean the Goose's plow. But wasn't what I was looking for either.  I guess I just like retro bikes even if they run like one! With a few modern conveniences, of course. I've had my old bikes and got tired of remembering what the good old days were really like! On the other hand I've definitely it's a lot more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow. And you get a lot fewer tickets that way! I just don't feel the need to own 150+ mph motorcycles any more.

Took the BMW up to the top of Lookout Mountain after work.  I freaking love that road AND the bike!  The absolute funnest road I've ever ridden and it's a spectacular view at the top.  It's the very first mountain directly west of Denver.  From the to you can vote the ENTIRE Denver metro area.  But the ride to the top and back is the best, 6 miles of switchbacks and intermittent sweepers.  I've ridden it at least 40 times.

Nice !

I get the feeling that just one doesn't do the view justice.  Do you have more pics of that ride to post in the photo gallery ?

Mike, that shot of the Valkyrie looks like some places I've seen around the Panamints.

Bare - There must be a Lookout Mountain in SoCal somewhere?  The one I ride is in Golden, CO.  You can see the Coors Brewery from there, among other things.  I have to be careful riding there at sunset tho, one time I almost hit an elk coming around a switchback and last time there were some deer standing on the side of the road.  Just adds to the excitement I guess.  :D

Man, Bare, that thing is clean!

It'd Better Be!  It's only like 3 months old!  LOL  ;)
