Glad you got your cramp fixed and thanks for another good reason for having a side stand.

"When your leg cramps up and you need to get off the bike in a hurry, dropping the sidestand so the bike doesn't fall while you get off is a H of a lot better than having to deal with a centerstand. " :)

Being a short, wobbly old man, I couldn't count on being able to get off a bike without a stand. I gotta have a side stand to plant the bike before I get off. I can't get it onto a center while astride it. My legs are too short to do such a maneuver! I like center stands, but when the choice has to be made, I'll go with the side stand. I have a rear wheel stand that takes care of most of the enter stand duties, or a chassis stand if I need the front end off.

Scottie J, Sorry to hear about your cramp but its good to know that I'm not the only one it happens to. I blame mine on old age. But then I blame a lot of things on age, like memory loss, bad hearing, eyesight etc. And I'm only 66.

Since it's raining and work is quiet, I spent lunch pulling the Carter carb off the 1975 Sportster to rebuild.

Gosh, I get cramps now!

A common cause of cramps is being dehydrated. Take water with you on a ride and drink it!

I understand that, I was a Marine.  This is the kind when you lift your leg to first get on and your hip says "Please don't lift that high".

I think that's called Arthur-itis.
Mine does that but it's saying, "you're pants won't bend that far!" These hood jeans are really stiff!

Jack and I went on a little 200 miler today down into San Diego county on the Triumph  and Goose. Hit a few different roads and ended up at Harrah's Casino when we needed gas. We didn't actually go in, but we were there. It was a nice ride early, but did get a bit warm as we started home in the mid afternoon. It was 95 in Elsinore, but getting home on the cooler side of the LA basin it was down to 80.
I'll post a couple of pics tomorrow.

Quick question.....  So, being that I have a Enfield Indian, can't I technically post in this category too?  I do technically own a Indian.  Just a curious thought.    :)  Either way, I need to get things dialed in so I can hit up Lookout Mountain.  My all-time favorite motorcycle road, about 10 miles of back-to-back-to-back switchbacks and twisties.  It's kind of an "underground" motorcycle spot where guys come and do time attacks and see if they can better their last time.  I never actually timed myself, but now that I have this cool app for my phone, not only can I do distance and timer, it will also do route tracking using Google Maps that I can upload to the computer!

I vote no.  You'll upset all the H-Ds and Yamazukis.  Invariable, when parked next to an Enfield or Indian, they puke and won't run.

Picture day from our ride yesterday. I look lumpy because I had a newspaper stuffed under my jacket as it was rather cool in the morning. I hadn't found a place to dump it yet. I did that at Harrah's
