Finally located and installed proper looking fork gaiters for the Husky.

I'm in love with your garage, and everything in it.

I added a 450w motor & 24v/10Ah battery to my non-RE bike... not sure if that really counts though!  ;D

Looks good!  Where did you get the parts/kit?  My schedule is changing for the "more normal" and I'm thinking about taking up riding the bicycle to work but have some epic hills to traverse.  Motor/engine assist is seeming like a good option right now.

I got the kit from Amazon for $300.  It's made by a company called Currie.  I see the Currie bikes around the University I work at all the time, so I figured it was a trustworthy enough brand.  I saw one towing a little trailer full of lumber the other day and that sealed the deal for me.

One thing of note is that the motor and battery add a LOT of weight to the bike.  If you're a regular cyclist this probably would be a deal breaker.  For me I don't even notice until I pick up the bike.  Getting somewhere on a bicycle without arriving all sweaty is superb.  I like being on 2 wheels and feeling the breeze but I'm way out of shape, so this is great for me.

If you're out of shape, take the motor off and sweat a little until you're back in it!  :)

Rode it, only my 2nd ride on it, this pic is from my first ride last week. I have not been around here in a while but as this gets close to being done I am starting to look for a donor bike for my Fireball engine. And I was hugely rewarded by stumbling across Aniket's video of him running his 1000cc Musket, go team!

http://www.phillittleracing.com/motorcycle/sxr-street-tracker/45-art-coutures-xr1000-street-tracker going with this tank and fender set from Phil Little. I have put on some Progressive adjustable 14.25" rear shocks and I have an adjustable front end off of a newer Sportster Sport model to go on, I converted to alternator from generator, I replaced the big round tach and speedo with a Trail Tech Vapor unit ....lots of cleaning up to do, but at least with the exhaust, lights, and brakes it is rideable....

Nice. That'll look great.  I love those Dirt Track / Street Tracker HDs... wish they'd do a production version. I feel like they'd do well with a younger crowd.  Not like the current XR which seems like merely a "nod" to the dirt track HDs.

Should be a cool project.

Cool--I think one of the essentials in the Little kit is the 19" rear wheel adapter.  Using the small rear wheel just doesn't cut it for the tracker look.  And the rearset pegs are a must, too.

Good luck and have fun with it.  Storz also has a big catalog for tracker conversions but it's way $$$ compared to the Little stuff.

I really like the Motoconfort, its a '51 with 125cc 2 stroke, looks to be all there except the gas cap, really high price though. I think that Saolea would be too big and that Terrot would be too nice...the search continues. Might make the most sense to find her an old Bullet....

pretty much ready to go, I need to see why the front brake is no longer turning on the brake light and get insurance, registration, and an inspection....but if it warms up enough today I may take it around the block...

RGT,
Looks good man!  Tank and seat are really nice.  Looks like a proper XR now.  If you can, snap a nice side-shot when you get it outside for the ride.

Great job.

RGT - That's a sweet Harley!  Looks Bad Azz!  You'll have to let us know how it rides once you have it out on the road a few times.

I keep thinking it will warm up and be nice but the flakes keep falling. It is probably better that I get local registration and insurance anyways...The few short rides I have taken have been fun, it comes on pretty good when you twist the throttle open. The front suspension felt pretty dead so I have installed some Progressive springs and new fork oil...I think Phil Little really captured the Harley XR dirt track look with these parts, as well he brought the tank capacity up to 3 gallons which will be much better for the street.(since I expect this thing will get well under half the mileage of my Bullet)

OH yeah. That's my kind of Harley.  Seat and tank are fantastic.  I like the orange stripe on the wheels and those white-lettered tires.  And those bazookas must make quite a racket!
