I took the Guzzi for a 25-mile New Year's ride around the city.  It has been too long since I've had it out.  Great bike.

I dropped off the Guzzi Breva at Moto International (#1 US dealer) here in Seattle for them to put heated grips on it.  55F tomorrow and clear.  It's RIDING TIME!

Wow, the Concours is DEFINITELY a great highway hauler!  Were you happy or sad to see the Ural go?

After I rode the C5 for 45 miles, I picked up the Moto Guzzi Breva from the shop, now with heated grips and 5 level controller.  $160 installed.  Wow.  Then I went for a 20 mile jaunt as the sun went down along with the temperature.

Why did I wait so long to get heated grips?  These things are bloody awesome!  My legs and feet were getting cold, but the hands were warm and so my arms were warm, too.  Funny how that works.

The 750 (baby) Breva is such a great machine!  Revving up the stock twin pipes is sure more exciting than the Bullet's anemic stock pipe.  The seating position and comfy stock seat make for a lot longer ride before the 60-year old back starts talking to me.

Riding the Bullet for 45 miles today, I was a relaxed English gentleman putting and pooting around the city.  Riding the Breva, I lost 20 years of age and felt like a new man when I was done.

Coming out of hibernation (no riding, bad weather), these sensations can really be obvious.

I WANNA RIDE!

I was kinda indifferent about it. Almost got killed on it and never warmed up to it after that.
I think everything that makes the Ural a great sidecar rig makes it a mediocre at best solo bike. The rear end is too stiff and it tended to oversteer going into corners.
The size of the tires was a handicap too as not much of any good tires would fit.
If I ever get another Ural it's going to have a sidecar on it. Not old enough for training wheels just yet though.

I'll see if I can get some pics of it tomorrow.

Am I still married ?  Things worked out real well. I bought the bike a couple of weeks ago and the day before I was supposed to go pick it up the wife called me to tell me she just bought a new sofa. The next day when I pulled up in front with the bike in a trailer she was standing in the open door with one of those WTF looks on her face.
I told her that if she could go buy a sofa I should be able to buy a bike at least.
Sounds about right eh? I mean fair is fair.
So shes pissed because I've been told to stay off bikes not because I bought it. Besides the way, by selling both the Trumps, the white Enfield, the Ural and a $250 rebate from Kawasaki I only had to come up with $1,250 bucks for the Concours.
Plus.... she did cap me at 7 bikes and I only own 3 right now so I just don't see the problem.

a well written perfect logic explanation :D..Yeah I'm starting to feel the same way about the three bikes in my garage .  I'm not there yet but have wonder if its time to to change up to something easier on my body.  .I 've read that the Concours is a great machine ...The comparision between it and the ural/enfield is like "where do u start"...Is the concurs a more standard riding position?  Can;t wait to read your thoughts as you put more miles on it..Good luck..GM

There is no comparison between the Ural/Enfield and the Concours. But I've always liked to be a bit different and in the circles I run in the Concours is about as different as one can get.  Kinda like riding the Enfield !
The riding position is almost like riding a standard motorcycle. Your butt's not up in the air and your chin's not on the tank. You do grip the tank with your legs like a sport bike but that's so that 153 HP don't make you slide right off the back.
