It seems that with each passing year gravity gets stronger, which makes getting up from a creeper more of a challenge.

And because time passes more quickly with each passing year, getting up from that same creeper takes longer and longer...

I fully agree that statement, the gravity is increasing in strength and I'm very young, just celebrated my 34th birthday in January...... OK well it was the 40th anniversary of my 34th birthday.

Changed the oil and filter on my TRX850.  Cleaned, lubed, adjusted the chain.

       Hey Grant,

Just a hint:  It looks like you may have deleted the little [/quote] at the bottom of upintheair's message?

And I agree about grabbadee (or is it really the bending of space   :) :) ).

Fired it up first time after new piston installed. Great to get it running again.  Throttle is a bit sticky however.  Will continue to work on it.

Took my Honda c90 postie bike to the track. It was wet all day and the postie was the right tool for the job. Too much fun. Didn't bother to ride the motard.

For slowest lap,  maybe.  Funny thing was the wet laps were about as quick as the dry ones.  The Michelin City Pro's seem to grip well and  the pegs went down in dry and wet.  Only 1 front end slide.  Not bad...
This track, we run reverse sessions and the postie was 15, 20 kph slower up the back straight when I had a headwind. And my mate's daughter kicked my butt up the straight on her CRF70.

Maybe there's a supermoto group somewhere near you. They use Kart tracks and those things are everywhere. That's who I usually ride with. It's fun, and less need for a big power bike.

Small bikes are both cheaper and I think it can be more fun to go fast on a small bike than on a big bike...PLUS you end up in less trouble when things go wrong anyway.

I might ramble for a minute.
The motard track days work for me because of that small bike thing. Kart tracks are all about corners and there's not much need for straight line speed. And you're right, when you crash, you're doing it a lot slower. Usually you pick the bike up and keep going. No smashed fairings, bent frames and the like. You might scuff axle and bar end sliders. Or break your collarbone, if you're me. Plus, the crew are a lot of fun to be around. Less attitude for sure. Compared with track days at a full size track, you show up there on a small bike, there's always some element (usually in the green/slow group) with a point to prove. Straight line heros. Don't get me wrong, most people at full size track days are lovely people. I've taken my big boy's bike (TRX850) to the full size track and it's fun but i'm not excited by the VMAX thing. The Enfield's good there too, in the corners. Straights are too long though.
At the kart track you can run what you brung and still have fun and fit in. My DRZ400SM is just the right amount of bike for me.
Anyway, 10 out of 10 would recommend doing a track day, just to see what it's like. Have at it if you can.

Went for a run through the hills on the postie bike.  It struggled getting up some of the steeper parts and make the rider very aware of the huge gap between 2nd and top gears. I noticed it losing power going up some kind steep climbs but it came back coasting down the other side. So I'm guessing it's either a bit lean mixture or the ignition timing is too far advanced, making it run hot.  That issue aside, it ran like a clock and was good fun. 110km round trip.
