I'd been struggling with high running temps on my 2002 KS iron barrel after a top end upgrade to an alloy barrel, new piston & head rebuild. I decided to just set it up & ride my C5 till a solution came to mind for my overheating issue, but since it seemed to have a lot more acceleration power with the choke ON,(though it didn't idle well) thought I'd jet UP the carb...again. From 117.5 to 120 to 130 now to a 150...& whadyaknow! I got a 173 deg. runnin temp with enough power to spare. I wouldn't have thought it would've taken that much jet size to run right,  liv-n-lern I guess. Maybe this info will help someone down the road, R.Tillery

If you need a 150 main jet in a Mikarb, you have an air leak somewhere, or something is wrong with the carb, or an exhaust leak. 130 is almost always the most necessary, even at sea level. If you really need that jet, I would be looking for what's wrong.

Nice!  That Symba seems to be a trusty lil' scoot.    :)

Yesterday and today I rode two 50-mile rides on my two scoots in mid-50 and sunny weather here in the great NW.  Today, the "lil" thumper CBR250R was flawless and fun with speeds up to 65mph, but more like 40 on the backroads I prefer to ride on.  Yesterday the Guzzi Breva got a similar but faster ride and got 51mpg compared to today's 83mpg on the Honda.  The Honda might be more fun, but the Guzzi is more satisfying.

I began building a 1/8 scale model of a Matchless G50 from a Protar kit I bought on eBay from a seller in Finland. I also bought kits of a 1985 Honda VF750F Interceptor, a Yamaha DT-1 Enduro and a 1/12 scale model of Kenny Roberts knee-dragging his Yamaha YZR500 from sellers on eBay because real motorcycles are an idle pipe dream just now when the snow is 2 feet deep and the temperature is in the single digits where it's been for most of a month.  I still have a real '84 Interceptor bought new and currently under a cover in my buried and frozen garage; my then-wife and I had a first-year DT-1 which was our only transportation when I was assigned to the 1957 Comm Group at Hickam AFB, Hawaii and we lived in poverty (unaccompanied E-4 airmen who had their wives with them anyway lived well below the poverty line in Hawaii), 1967 to 1969.  Don't have a Yamaha YZR500 and can't ride like Kenny Roberts did, but the model, all yellow and black and leaned over on my desk is as close as I'll get to knee-dragging anything but the snow blower for a few more months, alas.

Why in the world is that motorcycle (a) outdoors and (b) uncovered!?  Might want a warning for that picture: "contains graphic images."

I recently acquired a little bigger bike for some touring and camping.  Taking it out today on a long run to stretch it's legs and see what changes need to be made for comfort before any longer trips.

It's an appliance wrapped in tupperware but should be trouble free for what I plan to do with it B-)

So is the VTX like a semi-naked Goldwing then?  Looks like a nice cruiser.  :)

Nice models, wish they had more of the vintage ones.
Been out on the Guzzi on some club rides lately. Went over to Malibu for some EFI Tweaking and ride though our version of the Dragon, Latigo cyn.
