An RE dealer in Pembroke New Hampshire has a used G5 military listed for sale and has advertised that it comes with warranty. Its a rare beautiful bike. I called him up this morning and asked him the warranty question, and he insisted that the 'remainder' of the warranty will be transferred to the new owner.

I thought warranty did not transfer to the second or successive owner. Right ?

I don't think the warranty transfers either.   Maybe his bike was a demonstrator?  Never registered?   I bought my bike used with less than 300 miles, didn't have any luck with warranty transfer.

Maybe the dealer is going to warranty it himself.

That's what I was going to say. If it was never sold, it would have a warranty or the dealer may be including an aftermarket warranty. If he personally is providing it, I wouldn't ride too far from his shop!
