Is this a touchy subject? My bad. It's all good I am sure it is a lot less then any other big bike brand models on the street. I live in Central Illinois (half way between Springfield Il and St. Louis MO.) it would be cool to meet up with other RE riders in my area. Is there any RE groups in either the StL Mo area Springfield Il area?

I don't think most manufacturers or distributors give out that info. Rather proprietary.
I don't think RE is threatening to put any other manufacturer out of business. Not in the US anyway. Basically, you would own a relatively rare motorcycle here. But, that's what makes it, and you, unique.
Actually, the Royal Enfield factory outproduces Triumph, but they don't have the following here that they have in other countries. They are hoping to improve that considerably.
