Gday All,
I'm an Aussie expat, living over in Dubai, and figured i'd drop in to say hi

Well it took eight and a half years, but I've finally convinced the Handbrake it's a good idea for me to get back on 2 wheels.

A shattered wrist and twice fractured spine ruled out a crotch rocket, so I went looking for something a little more comfortable with a bit of character.
Sport tourers don't do it for me, and considered going down the Ulysses/Adventure route for a while but never really fell in love with them, a trip out to Classic Cycles in Al Quoz, and I ended up deciding on the C5 military Bullet.

First pic:

A quick chat to the owner Nelson, and next thing you know, we're talking mods....

Drop the pillion seat and already it looks better

A few bits and bobs are now on order,

Side mount tail light
LED turn signals
bar end mirrors
15" rear rim and 140/90 tyre
tractor type seat
Megaphone exhaust

and now it's time to hit it with the grinder, get rid of some excess steel....

TBC

Thanks Ice,

Now if you all can forgive the newbie mistake of posting in the wrong forum, and can one of the mods shift this across to the UCE section

Cont....

And now the spanner and grinder work begins.......

No pillion seat, no need for pillion pegs:

Get rid of that front guard and headlight chrome:

Bobbed rear guard, 140/90 15 tyre and rim to replace the 100/90 18 stockers easiest way ever to lower a bike! (Only mocked up, gotta sort lines and fitment yet)

Quick mockup of the seat with a little help from my old mate

I rode over to my mom's house this morning at 9 am.
It was 102 F (39 C) when I left and over 105 F (40.6 C) when I rode home at 12:30.  By 5:00 it was 111.4 F (in the shade) (44.1C) outside.  ;D

Now, just how cool did you say it was in your neck of the woods?  :D

Hahaha, then you know what I'm going through ;)

But it's now the holy month over here, and nothing is allowed to pass your lips during daylight hours (doesn't matter what religion you are, its actually law that you cant do it in public) no food, no water, no ciggarettes  >:(

Add to that a network of 8 lane freeways with a 90mph speed limit and drivers who at best could be described like the worst taxi driver you have ever had and it just adds to the fun

Want to come join me for a ride? ::)
