For the last few days there have been several incidences of riots, arson, looting shops, setting stores on fires by young boys and girls in England. The initial peaceful protest against the death of a man by police was hijacked by groups of hooded gangs first in London and then it spread to several towns including Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Enfield and other locations. The scenes of destruction and damage to property is appalling. A few innocent people have lost thier lives.

On the videos the police force appears very restrained and let the hooligans do their things in front of them. But the British prime minister has given the green light to police to use whatever means necessary to stop this mayhem going on for 4 or 5 days. Now local street residents and shop owners have formed groups that keep a vigil to protect their families and if possible business. Others have joined riot clean up crew with brooms to clean streets in defiance of gang activites.

Pretty unsettling state of affairs were caught on cameras and videos. Those who live near these areas in England will have a better understanding of the nature of this anarchy brought on by the gang culture of youth.

A video at the end of this web paper shows rioters rob an injured boy who was bleeding on the roadside -

I agree this is very upsetting.  Innocent people getting hurt.  I hope something like this never happens here in the US, oh yea it already has, I think it was 1965, Watts, California.    :(

I'm headed to UK on the 24th of this month.  Wondering if I should take my crash helmet and armored jacket.  Taking some friends along who have never been to UK before and part of the plan was to tour London and visit the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, but not so sure now.  Hopefully things will have calmed down by then.

Don't be concerned Andy, it'll all be over long before then. Already is, pretty much.
Many watched incredulous as police stood back watching all this going on. They were outnumbered of course, and immobilized by "human rights" legislation, which protects poor inarticulate thugs from the nasty authorities.
Bear in mind these riots were targeting shops - in fact the buzz word was "aggressive shopping" - and were solely concerned with looting. Not just kids, but parents too - whole families, two generations of "entitlement" culture, out on the nick!
They see it all on the telly, they know that status comes from how much shiny crap they own, and they want it on a plate, now.  Suggest to any of em that they might have to do a few years of work before they get the BMW and the slick suit, and they just don't want to know.....
What's to be done?  I dunno.  This is how it is now. As ye sow, so shall ye reap.....

Well Gang,
Do not be surprised this crap will be happening here in the U.S. of A. before too very long.  >:( It is a part of the Socialist movement to disrupt and eventually destroy America.  :( (just read the first pages of Che Guevara's Guerrilla War. actually page one of my copy explains the tactic.)  :o

It´s stunning that the people´s motivation to "shop aggressivly" seems to be so little political.  Looks like it´s really plain greed to grab anything.
The newspapers stated that whole families were arrested - the youngsters stole all the shit and their parents were hiding it! This video were these thugs helped one wounded guy to stand up while they brazenly roobed him - I couldn´t believe my eyes!
There shoild be a moral "compass" that tells you what you can do and what you shouldn´t do. This compass obviously has shifted.
Amazingly all these Einsteins forgot that because of the countless cameras watching public life the majority of them won´t get away. That´s the good news, the bad news, however, is that their potential to act as a deterrence seems to be zero.
Mr. Cameron stated that these thugs are "ill". I sincerly hope he´s right with his unsophisticated diagnosis. In this case some doctors could cure the problem quickly.
All the best to our British friends! Be carefull and don´t park the Bullet under a street lamp.

It is a part of the Socialist movement to disrupt and eventually destroy America

I don't know if it's that complex.  I think it's more of a "humans being humans" thing.  This happened in Vancouver when they lost a hockey game.  I'm not sure there was a socialist agenda there.  Crowd mentality.  It's such a terrifying phenomenon.  Stupid a-holes acting like stupid a-holes.

If the police went in and cracked some skulls early on, the world would have cried brutality.  They hung back and hoped things would settle, and they will be blamed for that too.

Maybe they haven't had enough soccer games lately? I don't get it, I guess I'm so tame that if there was a riot in my town I'd go out and BUY a television !

I believe that they were wanting the police to join in and crack some skulls so that they could cry brutality and use that as an excuse for another riot. (Here we are back at  at page one of Guevara's book.)

I always knew Cookie Monster was a disaffected Socialist. These scenes are from page 3 of Guevara's book:

Well, as Cookie Monster would say, "me like cookie!"
I don't think even Che could have predicted the role unicorns would play in the revolution... or the Teletubbies.  Who knew?
