My father wants to find a new home for this bike. It has been stored in his shed for over 30 years.  It ran and he rode it before it was stored. He does keep it lubricated and kicks it over often. I talked to the gentleman earlier today and he also has a Norton ES2 and a 48 Harley available.

They sound like very nice bikes and he will be taking photos of them all asap.

About $3k-4k for the RE and the Norton btw, he hasnt decided yet.

Reminds me of an old k model , what the hell is that contraption behind the tranny?

That old RE is kind of a bobber now. In 1951 the 500 Twin was a top of the line model. They had a chrome tank and the same tool boxes fitted that the India production uses. The air filter/electrical box had a built in ammeter on those but it looks like some one fabricated something else to replace it and instaled it where the tool box used to go. It looks like it has an older tripple clamp mounted front fender. The seat probably is from a K-model Harley. The original would have either been a Lycette type or a dual seat. It has a lot of original stuff there but is definitely not complete or OEM original.
