http://www.hardstreet.com/

I have been looking at possible hard bags for either the B5 or G5 and found the ad for this place in the current Motorcycle Cruiser mag.  The site mostly displays bags on cruisers but it looks as though there's some sort of universal mount.  If not, I expect one could be fabricated.

In any case, they look like they'd go well with a 60's era bike.

In case anybody else was looking......

They look pretty good on a big bike like the pictures show but it might be nice to see how they look on a RE.

I think their smallest ones wouldn't look oversized on the RE.  I prefer toploaders for general utility.  The side openers strike me as being more suitable for travel.

I still have the hard bags off of my old BMW K-75 but they took special mounts (that  I don't have) to attach them to the bike and they are a bit large for the RE even if I could mount them.

They were nice bags that quickly unlatched from the motorcycle and could be carried by top grips into a hotel or motel just like a pair of suitcases.

I think the smaller Givi bags might work although, again, I doubt they have mounts for the RE.  But the Givis look to modern to suit me.

These are about the closest things I've seen.  I was wondering if there's some copy of the old Bubble Bags that would work as well.

You would think such things would abound on the Indian market, at least.

Under the Bullet Classic Models section, Icarus posted pictures of a pair of Krauser panniers he installed on his bike.  Look very nice.  One day I am stealing his idea.

Cheers,
