This is an available alternative from NField Gear. It fits on top of the speedo and is easy to wire and mount.

The unit shown by the Dr. Is very cool as well. I do hope that the design guys consider putting a low voltage light in somewhere. I think it is a badly needed thing.

Plus you dont have to drill a HOLE through 3/4 of an inch of aluminum headlight casting !!!

Probably a better choice for anyone that doesnt want to cut up their baby or is afraid to tackle holes :D

Its a tiny little 12V battery gauge. I just tapped off one of the fuses in the fuse box. Works great, although it wont warn me of impending doom, its really nice to be able to check voltage quick, and semi accurately. :)  There is a little scale on the meter.
