I recently pulled the stock pipe, PAV, and airbox off of my '09 AVL Bullet.  Replaced with 1950s style exhaust from Hitchcock's (no baffle) and running a K&N cone on the stock carb.  I've tried a few different jet combos but the acceleration was poor in all cases; no other major symptoms.

Elevation here is about 730 lowest & 1000 highest.  Anyone out there have a similar setup and can share some info?  I have not played with the needle position yet either...thanks!

Thanks GreenRE!  I had checked this out before; it has some close setups but not exact.  Closest is classic exhaust w/ the K&N in the box.  Still curious if anyone is successfully running my exact setup on an AVL.  Just a matter of fine-tuning!

Hello!

A 125 main jet and the needle at the highest position raised a little higher by use of a 3mm inner diameter flat washer (0,5mm thick)  below the circlip, no change of the idle jets.
The idle screw 3 turns out.
That is the carb position of my electra with 1950´s Hitchcocks exhaust.

Did you baffle it? Without baffle it´s a little bit too loud, I think!

Regards

Chris
