Well, I just talked to the dealer. He wants $6850 out the door. Apparently they charge $1000 for frieght and set up on top of MSRP. He says he's knocking $100 of the MSRP. Is this normal?

The big price add on's on my bike was freight, dealers prep., tax,  document fee and license plate fee.

These added about  $1400 to the base price.

Run, don't walk, away from this "deal".  He might have thought you too eager to buy.  If he can't do better than $100 off of the inflated freight/set up/doc/plate/tax cost, he doesn't need your business.

The B5 sounds like a much better deal, even at a slightly higher cost.

I agree prof_stack. The price he quoted was BEFORE tax, title and license. I found a dealer a few hours away who quoted me $6650 for a 2011 G5 deluxe out the door, which is what I wanted in the first place. They would have to order it from their distributor, but she said it shouldn't take more than a week. I got a very good feeling from this dealer, and I think I'll go with them.
