For my 51st my wife took me to McMenamin's Grand Lodge in Forest Grove OR. On our way out Saturday morning for a little sightseeing we noticed some very little cars in the parking lot. I just had to stop and check these cool little vehicles out. Here's some pics. A few of the cars were Subaru's and the cool little blue 3-wheeled one is a Messerschmitt.

And a couple more. The third one down in this group is a Vespa. Very Cool!

I LOVE microcars! My High School girlfriend drove a Morris Minor. I see one in the pix. I drove a '72 Subaru FF! but when I saw a 360 I wanted it BAD. So cute. Messerschmitts have always been very pricey but who wouldn't want to shoot down Mustangs with it. I didn't see an Isetta. You know, the BMW Bubble car?

Any Berkeleys there. Had one of those many years ago. Kinda like a Bullet, it didn't go very fast, but it sure was fun. 3 cylinder 500cc two stroke engine.

There were a couple Honda 600's there and a couple others that I didn't get pictures of. They met at McMenamin's early morning Saturday and were driving down to McMinnville to the Evergreen Air Museum where the Spruce Goose is to have an afternoon show then back to McMenamin's for a Sunday car show. So there were probably more makes than I saw on Saturday. Pretty cool nonetheless.

Too bad you weren't riding your RE.
Then all of those micro drivers would have been out there with their cameras taking photos of your machine.  ;D

I do get lots of attention. I will post a pic of my bike. I have made a few changes since the pic but still looks great. I should take some new ones now that I'm thinking about it.

I'm not sure but it's body covering is like a WWI plane. Very unusual, I'm sure somebody will know what it is.

The yellow car with the white top looks like a Loyd Alexander.I have actually known 2 people who had these. One was in Alaska.Got some locals mad at him in a bar and they shot out the rear window with shotgun. He and 2 other guys were in it.They caught some glass but no pellets.I believe that was the end of that car.

It looks like it says Alexander on the side of the car.

The yellow one with the black top. Fabric skin? Definitely cool!

I was able to make out the manufacturer from the pic. It is a Velorex made in Czechoslovakia. They came with CZ and Jawa engines. I would bet this one is a 350cc model. The fabric stretched over the tube frame is a vinyl called "Iglet". The car weighs about 682 lbs. and has a top speed of 53 mph and cruises at 36 mph. This company also builds cool looking sidecars.
