;D..Ok....did the first really long ride on the RE...well 99 miles anyway...did a loop out to Shelbyville, TN....down US70S...to Murfreesboro...then out SR231 to Shelbyville...then up US41A towards Nashville...finally got to open Whitey up a bit on SR231...got em up to 65mph...mostly though the run was at 50-60....I will say that at 65 there was still some throttle left...I was smilin mst f the time...fun ride.

;D...It was nice...I have helmet "face"...I do have a minor concern...stopped for gas at a country SHELL station...they were out of REG...so I started filling with MIDGRADE...I suppose I tapped em out of that...only got a 1/2 gallon...so I topped off with PREMIUM...1.5 gallons.  Should I be concerned? Having a tank of gas thats mostly HIGH TEST...LOL or just enjoy it and burn it off...I know the RE liked it.

No need for concern.

The mid-grade and the premium both have more anti-knock additives to allow the use of higher compression engines.

Having these additives and not needing them is a waste of money but if it is the only thing available use it.  They won't harm anything in your engine. :)

In a theoretical sense, you should actually get better performance out of the lower octane stuff. It doesn't have additives to rob actual burning fuel from the combustion chambers.
I used to know several drag racers that swore by the lowest octane fuel that didn't detonate would give them the best times.
I haven't tested  the theory with a stop watch, but it sounds reasonable.
