I took off the valve covers.  Am I missing something or is there just one bolt holding the rockers to the head?

Thanks,
Scott

On a UCE engined RE there should be four 6mm bolts holding each of the two rocker bearing blocks to the cylinder head.
At least that's what the UCE parts manual shows

Thanks, I'll have to take another look.  It was late and it looked like there were just dowels on top, not hex or allen heads.

I took the tank off to check the O2 sensor, fuel injector, and MAP sensor.  I figured while it's off I may as well torque the head.  But I need to take off the rockers to get to the head bolts.  Incidentally, the tank comes off easily and the fuel line barely leaks at all when the hose comes off.  The head gaskets aren't paper or the like, they're nice molded rubber deals and easily reusable.

And DUH!  The rocker bolts are just regular allen bolts but the heads were filled with oil so I couldn't see them, they just looked round.  Thanks to Arizoni and r80t for reminding me to check the parts book and the exploded diagrams in the book I was already looking in.  I gotta stop staying up so late in the garage.

What kind of test did you do for O2 and MAP sensors, and fuel injector ?

What are the results - I mean quantitatively measured values ?

For the O2 sensor I read the voltage at the ECU as the bike ran.  It was mostly bouncing above and below 0.45V with some higher and lower values, as it should be.  I bench tested it with a propane torch.  It put .95V when hot, held about .9V for more than two minutes, recovered to below .1V when heat was removed.  All as it should be.

The fuel injector I just looked at for obvious fouling.  None to be found.

I pulled the MAP sensor off for a visual inspection, all clean.  I'll check the voltages when the bike is back together and running.

@Scott:

Are you trying to find out why your bike is not giving good MPG ? How is your spark plug - is it running rich ?
