Can't tell you for sure how long it takes to get the bikes. The dealers around here have several in stock. However, accessories can be hit and miss. Ordering them directly will usually get them to you much quicker than trying to get them through you dealer. I've gotten stuff from them in a few days that my dealer said weren't available. Be sure to ask them if the stuff is in stock when you order it, though. Unfortunately, they use UPS to ship the stuff, so that's a guaranteed big delay. I wish they'd give us a choice of shippers.

That's a new model.  They may not have had any at the warehouse so if your dealer didn't have one in stock he'd need to wait until they got their next shipment.  These aren't Honda Civics, they don't have thousands of every model in every color just sitting in stock, especially not the newest models.

Be patient, it's worth the wait to get exactly what you want.

Accessories, you can always call CMW and ask if it's in stock.  If it is you can order direct from them or through your dealer and you should get it quickly.  If CMW doesn't have it then they need to order it.  If it's genuine RE then it needs to come from India and times can vary significantly.  If it's from another manufacturer it may be coming from closer but times can still vary.

I'm in the same boat waiting patiently for my chrome C5. There are only 10 coming to Canada, in addition to the one early model that was shipped for the New York bike show. My dealer fanagled some deal for a lucky south asian in Toronto for that one. I was able to sit on it and as a bonus I did the headlight/parking light switch activation mod for the lucky new owner while it was being prepped at the dealer. It was delivered a day before the Bollywood movie awards, he no doubt cruised the event as it was the first time it was held outside of India. Lucky sod.  The colour is a deeper burgundy than what is reproduced in the pictures available online.  Oh, and the bike was being fitted out with a set of bars from a yamaha that were so damned comfortable that I asked the dealer to get me a set. He said that they came  from India, once I get the specs of them I'll post here of course. Last time I heard from my dealer he said end of June for mine. I'm optomistic.... As long as I get at least one ride in this season

Are you in the US or Canada?  CMW is the US importer.  I don't know who does Canada but it's not CMW.

The handle bar which got fitted onto a C5 is from Yamaha RD 350. Cost around $ 8 ;)

The waiting list in India is almost a year right now. REM probably exports less than 5% of it's production. Divide that among all the country's that sell em and you'll see some pretty small numbers.
From what I understand REM will be opening a new facility pretty soon and production will go up but they will still be a niche bike in the rest of the world.

15 years ago you had to wait a year to get a Harley. Now you can walk into a dealer and ride almost anything they make out the door.
Just goes to show you the shift in world economics.

I like those bars, slightly higher and wider, or so they seem. Would one need longer cables for this ?

And just where do you get them for 8 bucks ?

the cables fit nicely, but does take some rerouting.

Only in South India waiting list is almost a year but down North you can have it in a month.

Accelerator cable has a bit of issue as it gets stuck in one position when turning the bike at idle.

For $8 it's only possible in India:)

Yamaha Canada want $81 for the bar, currently out of stock but still available.  Maybe SSR we can work out a deal. I'll send you maple syrop for a set of handlebars.

There is a few on ebay for about $30(with shipping), one from a popular RE spares store.

Got used to this word Vindaloo so much in UK, back home never heard of it and expecting to hear it often in Canada again. Never tried moose, let alone moose vindaloo, ok the deal is done. Hopefully you live in Ontario!

Yes I do, down in Windsor, to the far southwest of the province on the US border too close to Detroit.  I can travel a bit though depending on the day.
