Do you mean it has the same "ENFIELD" that is marked on the bike with the sidecar in the post just above your post?

There was a time that the bikes produced in India weren't marked "ROYAL" but I'll let the experts tell you about it.

Trying to chase info on this bike so far has been a tail chase.

Enfields manufactured up to 2005 were called India Enfields. The company got the rights to use Royal Enfield in 2005 so the later ones are Royal Enfields. If yours doesn't have Royal on it we can assume it is older then 2005. I don't have a S/N breakdown to be able to tell what year it is.
