I'm just heading over to my local Enfield Dealership (Motorcycle Sales Direct) to take delivery of my new G5 Deluxe.  I've got a tidy little corner in my garage prepared to receive her.

It's suppose to get up to 105 degrees here in Phoenix today.  Yes, it's a dry heat.  There comes a point on the thermometer though when hot is just damn hot!

Heat or no heat, I can hardly wait to ride my new Bullet home!   ;D

Motorcycle Sales Direct are good people located over in Scottsdale.
That's where I got my G5.
I know your going to enjoy riding it.  Come to think about it I should say I know you enjoyed riding it home because by the time you read this you will have it !  ;D

It's only been about 3 weeks since I got it and it already has 560 miles on it.
The FUN never ends. :)

Well, she's home!  Now all she needs is an appropriate name!

The ride home was hot, but it was also FUN!  I absolutely made the right choice buying an Enfield Bullet.  And yes Arizoni, Monica and Gabor at Motorcycle Sales Direct are good folks.  We're very lucky here in Phoenix to have a first-rate Enfield dealer.

I was hoping to go out for an early morning ride tomorrow but my new helmet still has not arrived at the Helmet Center.  Fortunately, my neighbor is a rider too and he loaned me his helmet to ride my new bike home.  In fact, he even drove me to the dealership.

Provided my new helmet arrives tomorrow I plan to take my new Bullet out for a short break-in ride at first light Wednesday morning.  I'd like to be back home before the mercury crosses the 90 degree threshold!

By the way sixtysix, I'd like go riding with you some time but I sure hope that I never meet you while you're working!  ;)

Hi Coffee
I live in Mesa and ride an 06 Bonneville. I think i nearly bought your very bike I was at the dealer 3 times looking but couldn't justify two bikes right now. I dont think I should go back there until i can buy! When the kids go back to school I will have more free time and would certainly like to ride and check out your bike close up and running.

Hey sixtysix,

I almost bought Triumph myself.  I like the Bonneville line, especially the America version.  They're all cool!  Let's definitely get together for a ride when you have the time.

I'm very happy with my G5.  I also like the C5 series.  If fact, I probably could have just thrown a dart at a wall of Bullet catalog photos and bought the bike the dart landed on.  There is just something about all of the Royal Enfields that resonates with me.

Like you, I visited Motorcycle Sales Direct a bunch-o times before I wrote a check.  I suffered from a major case of Bullet indecision.  In the end, I decided that I'd rather ride a Bullet than agonize over which model to take home.  It sure feels good to see my G5 Deluxe waiting in her garage bay for our next ride!

Since you asked, the helmet I'm waiting to pick up is a Shoei Qwest.  I ordered a solid white one.  I like bright colored helmets, my last one was a Monza Red Shoei RF-200.  I decided to go with plain white this time because I wanted my helmet to reflect the maximum heat.  After trying on every brand of helmet I could find, I wound up with a Shoei again because they fit my big, round Charlie Brown shaped head the best!

Glad you got her home!
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Thanks r80rt, keep the sticky side down on your C5.  I'll try to do the same!

Sounds like a sweet job Arizoni but two questions, how often do people go around signing jet engines and how the heck to you land a job de-signing them?  ;D
