I received the Sedona seat from Nfield, removed chrome buttons, and had a local saddle shop install a strip of saddle leather all round, held with copper rivets.  5" springs at the rear of the seat are supported by aluminum angle mounted at rear 1) shock perch and 2) inverted U lug. The tops of the springs are bolted to a 5/8" round steel bar that spans from side-to-side of the seat, bolted in place with 3/8" ss hex cap screws.
Several pieces of machined aluminum are bolted to the underside long tab of the seat. This assembly attaches by way of a 3/8" dia pin to a Heim joint. The Heim joint is threaded downward to a billet piece that is bolts into the front seat lug of the Electra.
With this approach I was able to raise the seat about 4" and back about 3" for my 6"3" frame.  fine tuning of the front seat height can be adjusted with the lower threaded end of the Heim joint!

I have an after market vintage seat, all my guts are visible. What do you have under your seat? It looks like some military style cloth.

The Olive Drab fabric under my Sedona seat was a piece of "shelter half" army surplus.  I made a rough pattern with cardboard and then cut and hemmed it.  It is held in place with sections of velcro. Keeps dust off the electrics and yet easy to remove.
