I thought it was posted on here somewhere, but I cant find it. What is the diameter (outside and inside if you know it) of the tube that goes into the intake manifold? Is it 1.75" ? My bike is at the dealer at the moment so I cant check.

The OD is about 1-5/8". Can't confirm the ID. I couldn't find that printed anywhere. The old carbs were 1-3/16"

Ah, ok thanks guys. Maybe I'll average the two #'s!

(1 5/8" = 41.275 mm)

I measured mine with a caliper and the 48mm filter I got fit with about 2mm extra space. I think the original poster in that thread got the 46mm K&N filter and it fit snugly.
