About 15 Enfields showed up for the "annual" event.  One had a service dog in the sidecar.  Pictures will be posted later.

There were 2 UCE models, a G5 and C5, and about 4 AVL bikes.

Eamon had a clutch bracket break down below.  He posed nicely:

The weather accomodated nicely and the venue was perfect.

Here are some riders with their bikes.  Sorry, but my name memory isn't working so well.  Others can help out if they would like.

  • Remember when decency wasn't a option?
Good pictures! Thank you ;)
I have a few  more. Same on  the  names  but learning. Sorry Barry, had the hardest time with  yours. My camera battery died  and to  tell  the  truth Blabbed a a little  too much to get more. Still  did not  get to say  hello  to all.

What's with the trailer/tow options? I have only had to trailer the bike once and that was a bad wire connector. Now that that's fixed I don't see the need. Second week in September? Sounds like fun. I'll try to rearrange my work schedule.

It was nice to see everyone , and I think we really do need to get together in the fall as well.  It would have been nice for my bike to see you all as well, but it would have been pretty tricky riding through all those traffic lights with no clutch!   ::)  The clutch operating arm inside the gearbox snapped off literally as I was on my way across town to the Nickerson.  At first I thought I just broke a cable, so I pulled the bike up on a sidewalk, took out my spare cable, and then realized what really happened.  I was a little over 2.5 miles from home and ended up pushing it almost 2 miles until I got past all of the traffic lights.  Then I started it up and had my brother gave me a push, dropped it into second, and putted around side streets the rest of the way home (the uphill part).

I ended up going in my wife's car.  I also brought along my spare sprag clutch parts (originally Chumma's) for Ice, who wants to have a spare on hand (I converted to kick start only and don't need 'em).  Well wouldn't luck just have it, he said he has a spare clutch actuating arm in the package at home and will just pop it in the mail for me.   :)

It was great to see everyone and to drool on the bikes. I know Nigel and I were doing that to Prof. Stack's C-5, Mitch's Shiny Silver Bullet, and all the Militarys...Can't wait for the next get together!
