Hi my name is Bill i am a Bikeaholic  ;D  I just bought my first Enfield on ebay its a Bullet Classic black & gold. I hope to have it in a couple of weeks I am very excited. My other bike is a 2005 Thruxton and I have rode all my life and I gave up Classics due to a bad kicker hip knee ankle........ well you get the point. My most resent enthusiasm was sport bikes but Alas. the local authorities are cracking down hard on them so rather than getting caught up in all the profiling I sold out for a Retro classic and bought a Triumph and boy am I glad I did I had forgotten just how much fun it is to ride a slow bike fast.
So now the wife would like to get in on the fun hence the Enfield. Some how I think I will be riding it more than her   ::)

Regards

Hi, Bill.

I was looking for a good "Aaacckkkkkk!" at the end of your post, or at least a Bill or Bill and Opus icon.

Loved that cartoon.

Got a pic of the Triumph?

Beautiful.  Love the paint and the decal on the box.

Thanks for the warm welcome. This looks like its going to be a fun place to hang out. Are there other Enfield forums or is this not a appropriate question to ask?   ???

Welcome Bill!

This is a fun place - most of us are "seasoned" with age so the banter reflects good ol' boys with no axes to grind.

There are some Yahoo Enfield forums.

Cheers!

There are some yahoo forums. I would say this is the lighter spirited forum. Good place. Yahoo is good for technical discussions but there can be some argumentative types that quickly take it personal. WELCOME!

There are other Enfield forums, but why would you want them? :)

Welcome Bill,

That's a beautiful Triumph. Looks like you now have the best of both worlds!

Post some pix of your RE when you get it.

(Me, I'm scheming to get the new Guzzi Classic V7 to compliment my RE...)

Matt
