If you and Rick Scott and the rest of the South want to secede again, I for one, would vote for it and certainly not try to stop you. The next time the South has a disaster, like now, with floods, huricanes, tornados, don't come crying to the Fed. Govt. for FEMA and disaster relief. Those are my tax dollars. Rescue yourselves. Joe, our lower class folk live better than or equal to the so-called middle class in most countries. That's a fact. I have lived in many of those countries and believe me, there is nothing in any of them that I would wish no America......except perhaps less crime. There is NO reason/excuse for anyone in our country not to succeed, IF the so desire. Don't demonize the wealthy just because they have been motivated enough to provide a good lifestyle for their family. They don't owe anyone anything. They are the backbone and support for our great standard of living. It is a shame that so many folks listen to that false messiah in D.C. and his false deciples that believe in "social justice."  They avoid using the older label, "socialism" because they know that some of us are old enough to remember socialism at it's worst, and have fought wars because of socialism and communism. Pretty it up all you want, but no matter how much powdered sugar you put on it, a cow pie is still a cow pie.

that was funny...i hate comparing counties and area of the world to us but like a few of u guys I've been to some hell holes too....what do u think they want to get the hell out of there? That being said, when our people need help due to sitauations like tornadoes and flooding,  our providing assistance in whatever form  should be straight on the up and up and done without anyone having to ask....if we can't do this, then all foreign aid , military aid and overseas renderings should be stopped until we can.. I hate to see these things politicized but it just isn't right to take from our citizens and not help them in their hour of need...

I have seen where our foreign aid has gone or where it didn't go. If we need to cut spending, I would vote to eliminate billions from foreign aid and military aid overseas. I really think it is ridiculous to give foreign aid to China when we already owe them our mortgages. You want to cut the deficit? Start with cutting foreign aid.
