Hi all,

I'm starting to track my gas mileage of my 08 RE/Cozy starting today.  I've been riding through hills back and forth to work and it appears my mileage is dropping.  Will know in 2 days the exact figures.

How is everyone else doing for MPG and what's impacting you the most?

peace,
Chuk

60-65 MPG riding one up, part city, part two lane highway, back and forth to work.

'06 Iron Barrel military no side car yet.

No matter where you go, there, you are.

With Cozy Euro on '09 G-5 using mostly 2-lane twisties, usually running 40 to 55 mph I am getting 60 to 65 mpg.  This is with cargo up to about 75 lb on about 30% of time.  The rest of the time I am solo but with the sidecar.  Running 55 to 65 with no passenger or cargo for about 75 miles plus another 75 miles at the above load and speed, I got only 55 mpg.  higher speeds will cut mileage.  I think if I could stat in the 35 to 40 mph range with easy acceleration, I could probably get to 70 mpg or so, but it probably will not happen.    GA-DK

I have a series of hills on my 30 mile round trip commute.  None really serious in grade, just long uphill slopes.  It appears I'm floating in the 40-50mpg gallon range.  However, I've had some serious head winds last week so I don't think this is my final numbers yes  Report back in a week if the winds don't come back.

I am thinking I get about the same.  Between 40 and 50, closer to 40.   I dropped a tooth on mine and whip it like a rented mule.  I really should do the mileage.

About 45-50 depends on the winds, hills, and how much Nigel ate....Sadly :'( I do get better mileage with my car than my hack, but then again the cage is a prius. ;)

Hey VMax, how do you like the 535cc compared to the 500 w/the sidecar?

That looks like very good gas mileage for cycle + sidecar! My coworkers Ural gets like 30-some mpg.

Ok,

My 30 mile round trip commute filled with hills and headwinds I'm getting a solid 45mpg.  Very nice considering current gas prices.  Also, it's so much more fun to ride the rig each day!

Ok,

I'm now at 1300 miles and my gas mileage has improved to a solid 50mpg.  Still commuting through the hills and headwinds but as I've been told before, gas mileage and other stuff improve as this bike breaks in.  It should be noted I have not touched the carb/exhaust.  Everything is still stock on the bike.

Most fun bike I've ever owned!
