Looks like the drop frame was heavier than the bike itself. What balls those glider troops must have had.
2005E Fixed and or Replaced: ignition, fenders,chainguard,wires,carb,headlight,seat,tailight,sprockets,chain,shock springs,fork springs, exhaust system, horn,shifter,clutch arm, trafficators,crankcase vent.

The BSA Bantam was used by GPO telegraph boys - there were an awful lot of them about when I was a lad and they were readily available  (Bantams that is - can't speak for the telegraph boys.....). I had one for a while, ex GPO, and a nastier little bike was surely never made.
