I miss every bike I ever sold.    That does not apply to ex-wives.     Especially miss the GSX1100G.  I don't know why I thought that engine was too loud.   Now I got an Enfield that makes the Suzzy sound absolutely quiet.   The only bike you love is the one you sold or traded..........dg          BOY its cold here.....1'

DaveG297, must be real cold with the wind of Lake Michigan. It got to 4 degrees here in Birch Run. Don't even want to know the wind chill with the 30mpg gusts.   Hutch

I miss my Military and its only covered and winterized in the garage!

You're right about the cold. Damn! It was a balmy 8 degrees here in SE Mcihigan. Wind chill of minus 23!! Ouch. That kind of cold hurts.

Serviced mine yesterday, since it was 20 degrees.  Primary case, Gearbox, engine oil, filter, tappets.  Awesome.  Had a great time.

I just came across this one which is pretty close to where I am now.  I do have a few obstacles still; one no place to keep it, and two, the native Californians barely tolerate me being here let alone a prehistoric machine...

Well, I miss my first street bike.  She was a 1964 H-D Panhead that I got in several boxes at age 14, and had her going with the help of my father, uncle George, and several other brothers the day I turned 16.

Thanks Mikes

Thats right, I was just being facetious.  That is the problem, the seller is being honest in revealing that it is FL registered and not CA.  In my opinion though he/she could go a step further and reveal that part to someone who is not familiar with the California requirements.  Hey, you take your chances; it could come back to haunt him/her though in the form of a buyer backing out of the deal.  It happens all the time.

Funny, I don't miss the 1987 Sportster as much as the click clack of the Enfield.  The Size, weight, and handling seems to be more of a match for my little body and simple tastes.

So all you RE owners, count your blessings when the sun is shinning and you don't have to be anywhere in a hurry.  Life can be good.

Ride safe

I read someplace that a Bulleteer was able to register a "not-vintage" Bullet in CA as a 1957 model... didn't really elaborate on how, but claimed the CA DMV person said it was OK... definitely different from what the regs say.

I  did see a '65 or so Bullet on ebay a while back.. had a few thousand miles on it - blue and silver.  Good looking ride and legally registered in CA.

it CAN be done under the right circumstances.
IF transfered from another state used with OVER  7,500 miles
on the clock. Several years ago there was a guy from Illinois
that shipped his speedo to a guy in California so he could get it
regged....   so the story goes...

Strange isn't it? I assume CA regs are due to emissions etc. So to my tiny mind a new machine will be more fuel efficient and less polluting than the same machine with over 7,500 say, hard miles on it.
So, where's the logic???????::)
UK not as bad as that though getting there far too fast. From what I read of global warming and methane etc I reckon we would be better producing some sort of cow 'cork' with a filter that you shove in their a*$e as the article said cows produce as much global warming gas as our vehicles do!!!!!!  :o
