Does anyone know whether any of the "high flow" aftermarket or optional sllencers tor the UCE are available in Stainless Steel as opposed to chrome?  I ask becasue corrosion seems to be an issue, and probably greater with exhaust equipment due to the temperature cycles and condensation issues after the machine cools down.  This might be why people report "lines of rst" along the bottom of the pipes.  I know Ural has switched  to Stainless exhausts on their new models.  Thanks, Nigel.

I don't know if there are any SS UCE mufflers but Ural switched to SS because the chroming process has been pretty much banned in Russia. Everything chrome on a Ural now has been outsourced.
My SS sT exhaust system turned a not so nice shade of purple right off the bat.
Ugly IMHO. I'd rather have rusty chrome than purple stainless.
Got an "alternative" exhaust system on the way for it.

Not sure where you are, but if you're in UK, Watsonian's Goldstar "silencer" for the UCE seems ok. I fitted mine early last summer and it's rust free. You may have read my earlier thread "RUST". The Goldstar held up well while all around it was dissolving.... (Can't see inside of course.....)
I believe there are a number of aftermarket pipes available - I daresay some of them are a bit too cheap and cheerful.
But definitely chrome over stainless steel for looks.  ;)

Armours in the UK do all sort of pipes for Brit/ Italian  bikes at very high quality if thats any help depending on your location  just google armoursltd.co.uk to enquire. Know of one or two other specialist  who will custom fabricate whatever you want once again to very high standard can dig out adresses from my records but this may not be cost effective  due to your location, hope this helps as rusty pipes destroy the look of any bike.Don
