Looks like a nice bike at a reasonable price.  Also looks like it's at a dealer.  Guess if i was doing the asking, i'd see what he would tell me about the previous owner and why he let it go.

Miles are low. Look for obvious stuff like fluid leaks or evidence that it's been dropped or laid down or had any motor work done to it.  Does the electic starter work?  (common problem there...)  Run it, listen to it, ride it.  See how it shifts, brakes, and handles.  Check the fluids.  Look for blueing of the pipe - maybe pull the plug and look at it.

take 'er home.  JMHO  :)

I don't mean anything by this but be aware that this is NOT a Royal Enfield dealer. Doesn't make him/her good or bad, just a point

OK I found a 2005 Sixty-five that I'm really interested in and before I contact the seller I'd like so advice on what to ask him. What do yall think of this bike? Any and all thought would be really appreciated this may be my first RE!

Ok, first issue.
That's not a Bullet Sixty-5.

It's a Bullet Classic Deluxe ES with a 5-speed..

Basically the same bike as a Sixty 5 in the powertrain, but has the Deluxe bodywork package. The Classic Deluxe has chrome fenders and tank, and all the classic models have the tubular fork covers, and not the rubber fork gaiters.

So, that's  a nice year with the right features, and a nice looking Bullet Deluxe bodywork, but it's not a Sixty-5.
However, it's just as good as a Sixty-5, if you like that Deluxe bodywork.

OR, if it was a Sixty-5 at one time, it has been converted to a Classic deluxe bodywork for some reason.

There's no reason to be put-off, because it's really just a body styling difference, and the bikes should be the same.
Just letting you know what you are looking at.

I agree with ACE, not a Sixty-5. Maybe a nice bike though.
REA member #161 was riding a 2004 Sixty-5. Now riding a 2022 Interceptor

That bike is not a sixty 5. It is a deluxe.

Nice bike,  bone stock from appearances.   Just like my 07 Deluxe.

I am gonna geek out for a second here and say I think its a late build date 05 since the breather is on the oil tank.   I thought that was not done til 06'.   Can't even tell if it has the lump for the old breather, wish the photo was higher res.

If you can take it for a nice 20 minute ride and get it warm, then listen for any bad mojo for  the bottom of the engine.

I would buy it...

That's a Deluxe.. every bit the same as great as a 65 but with trick chrome accents and tube forks instead of rubber gaiters.
Looks like a good buy. If the engine's blown, or if they are any weird sounds/vibrations coming from it, I'd use that as a bargaining point and still buy it.
These bikes have tons of potential.

Thanks everyone for the advice and input! So whats do yall think of the price? Is that a decent price? The prob is Id have to ship it down here to Louisiana if it turned out to be in good condition and that'll get pricey. I know im just getting ancy to buy a RE. Do yall think I should wait and let another deal come along or could that be a steal?

Assuming all is well, and it runs right, then I think it's a fair price for that bike.

that's a great price but you're far away, buying sight unseen, and would probably pay at least $700 more to get it shipped. If I were you, I'd be patient and look for something along the east coast.  There's lots of Iron barrels popping up for sale in places like Florida which would be worth the long drive to take a test run, haggle, and make a deal on your terms.
$2500 is great but you can find it again.

It's the one with the red and black paint job. They prob saw that picture of the Sixty-5 and thought it was the same model. I'm going to call over there later today and see what they have to say.
